The company's priority objective is to reduce forest degradation of entire Mongolia by activating forestry enterprises based on economic interests forming a cluster system.

      Forestry enterprises and Forest Care Squads constantly producing wood charcoal which raw material is non-industrial wood obtained during Forest Cleaning and Forest Care Cutting along with sawmill waste such as sawdust, cuttings etc. The technology of charcoal production is simple and accessible for the Forestry enterprises and transportation will be cheaper in Mongolian underdeveloped infrastructures. The price of wood charcoal (intermediate product) is usually high.

      The Zegstei upland company purchases these intermediates on regular basis and production of final products using innovative technologies imported from the EU. Supplied with raw materials, the manufacturer of the final product (activated carbon, barbecue charcoal briquettes etc.) will work continuously and export to the EU, East Asia which global largest importers of charcoal products.

      At the same time, a cluster of systems for the supply of intermediate product for the production of final product is formed.   

      In the forest area of the project implementation, increasing the forest resource naturally (on average 30-40%) which encourage to increase the absorption of carbon dioxide and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from forest. All this has a positive impact on mitigating climate change.
